History of randywong.net
I began randywong.net in 2001, after a few years of having personal sites at GeoCities and Xanga. I thought it’d be fun to post some screen shots of how the site has progressed over the years. As my loyal visitors know, the update rhythm of this site ebbs and flows: sometimes it’s a sandbox for new ideas. Other times, it can go for years without an update, while I work on others’ sites—and then suddenly be new again.
Initial Site
The first incarnation of randywong.net was clean and simple. It featured a text navigation bar on top. All content was contained in the box beneath the nav. It was my first experiment with CSS. It loaded particularly fast and was relatively easy to update.
