Yay for the Oxo Mini Metal Measuring Cup!

Oxo MIni Metal Jiggers

Oxo Mini Metal Jiggers

I’ve been using the Oxo metal measuring cups as my jiggers for the last few months, ever since I figured out that that’s what the gang uses at Drink. Although they are not meant as jiggers—and some bartenders might thumb their noses at me for using food implements in my home bar—I think they work really well. I like that they have flat bottoms, are made of stainless steel, and have an angled wall inside the cup so that you can easily see what quantity is being poured. Oh, and the gradations start at 1/4 oz… basically ensuring perfect measuring!

If you search for it on Amazon, it’s listed under “Oxo Good Grips Mini Stainless Steel Angled Measuring Cup.”

Interestingly, Amazon listed them for $3.99 each before Christmas, $4.99 each between Christmas and New Year’s, and $5.99 each now.

In Hawaii, you can buy them at Whole Foods Kahala Mall. In Boston, at The Boston Shaker. Both stores sell them for $7.99—more expensive than Amazon, but hey, you save on shipping, and you can use them right away!

I use the plastic version of these, definitely the easiest way to measure. I only wish they had a 3/4oz mark on them.
