1960s Mexican movie with Exotica soundtrack

What makes this music exotica? For starters, I’d say:
The simplicity of the melody, the way that the vibes player comps his way through the tune, descending chromatic triads, and the authentic sounds of Latin percussion. Nice ‘n’ easy!
