UPDATED MARCH 2005*** ALOHA & WELCOME! I am a musician & educator born and raised in Hawaii. Most recently, I have earned a Master's degree in Education (Ed.M) from the Harvard Graduate School of Education, where I focused my studies in the field of Arts In Education. I received my undergraduate education from the New England Conservatory of Music, where I earned a Bachelor's degree in Music as a classical double bass performance major. In my free time, I keep busy by performing, touring, and managing two ensembles that I co-founded last year: WAITIKI (Exotic Tiki Entertainment of Polynesia & Beyond!) and AKAMAI BRAIN COLLECTIVE/"ABC" (Progressive Island Jams); the former which is a full show-style ensemble, complete with dancers and costumes, and the latter which commericially-released its debut album in December, to critical acclaim. I also find myself doing gourmet cooking/catering and freelance web design, all of which you can learn more about here. Currently, I am a Master's student in Classical Bass Performance at Carnegie Mellon University (Pittsburgh, PA). Please browse my website to learn more about my achievements and ambitions in music and education, and feel free to contact me - especially if you are one of my friends! -Randy Wong
