Da Kine
In Hawaiian Pidgin, the phrase “da kine” is used as a placeholder to represent whatever the speaker wants it to. It can refer to something specific (but unsaid) or an ambiguous intangible feeling. In fact to explain what “da kine” is (or could be) kinda defeats the purpose of the phrase.
